Something broken, something confusing, or an idea for what GrowSpot should do next — it all reaches the same place, and we read every message.
If you can open the app, the in-app form is the better route — it lets you attach screenshots, so the problem arrives already explained.
Settings › Help & Support › Report a problem. Choose Bug, Idea or Other, describe what happened, and attach up to three screenshots.
[email protected] — for account questions, billing, press, or anything you'd rather not send through a form. Also the right route if the app won't open at all.
None of this is required. Any of it helps.
| What happened | What you expected, and what the app did instead. |
| Where | Which screen you were on — a spot, a plant, the light reading, the paywall. |
| A screenshot | Worth more than a paragraph, especially for anything visual. |
| Your device | Phone model and OS version, if you know them. |
| Repeatable? | Whether it happens every time or happened once. |
Subscriptions are billed by the app store, not by us, so they're managed there. On iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › GrowSpot. On Android: Play Store › your profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Plus until the period you already paid for ends.
Open GrowSpot and tap Restore purchase — it re-checks your store account and usually sorts it out. Make sure you're signed in to the same app store account you paid with. If it still doesn't come back, email us and say which store and which email you used.
Settings › Delete account, inside the app. It permanently removes your account, your plants and their whole history — there's no undo, so export or screenshot anything you want to keep first. Deleting your account is not the same as cancelling a subscription; cancel that separately in the app store.
Most of the time it doesn't — it fills the gap with an estimate from your local weather and your description of the spot, and labels it as an estimate. But phone sensors have real limits, and a few conditions can't be read honestly from where you set the phone down. In those cases it says so rather than inventing a number, and tells you which parts of the picture it's sure about and which it isn't.
Closed testing is finishing now. You can claim a Founding 50 spot and start the moment it ships.
The short version: identification and diagnosis photos are processed to give you an answer, the light reading works on the device, and GrowSpot never asks for photos of your home. The long version is in the Privacy Policy and Terms.
Send it. The in-app form has an Idea category for exactly this. We read every note ourselves — nothing gets lost.
