For plant shops and sellers

Let buyers check the spot before the plant goes home

Two ways to hand your buyer a spot check: a QR code on the product page, and a printed card in the box. Both free, and the second one comes with a month of GrowSpot Plus for them.

01 · Free, right now

On the product page

Swiss cheese plant (Monstera)

Worth a try

It can work here with a little care.

Light

A little dim, but workable

Temperature

Comfortable temperature

Humidity

Humidity suits it

Airflow

Airflow suits it

Worked example: Swiss cheese plant (Monstera) 3 m into a room with a north window, air 21 °C and 50% humidity, medium airflow. Your spot will score differently. Run it for your own spot →

A QR code for each plant

Generate one per plant and put it in the care guide section of the listing, next to watering and light. The code opens the checker with that plant already selected, so the buyer only describes their spot.

Selling too many species to do them one at a time? Use the general code or link for the whole shop.

Make your card

Make your card

Prints one card, about the size of a postcard. Test the QR with your phone camera before a big print run.

Before you pick its spot

Your new plant

QR code that opens the free GrowSpot spot checker

Scan to check whether a spot in your home has the right light, temperature and humidity for this plant. Free, in your browser, no app needed.

02 · Partnership

In the box

Pack a printed card in with the plant. Your buyer scans it, checks the spot they were about to use, and gets a month of GrowSpot Plus on us.

The code is issued for your shop, so this one starts with an email rather than a button. Tell us roughly how many plants you ship and we’ll sort out the mechanics with you.

Why bother

The box is not the risky part

Your packing can be perfect and the plant still lands on a hot windowsill or in a dark corner. It declines in week three, and you get the refund email.

Buyers who succeed come back

Someone whose first plant thrives buys a second one. Someone whose first plant dies decides they have a black thumb and stops.

It reads as service, not marketing

A card with a working tool on it says the shop cares what happens after checkout, and it costs you a slip of paper.

Where is the catch?

There isn’t a hidden one, so here is the visible one: GrowSpot is a plant care app, and the spot checker is its free web tool. If your customer likes the checker, they might look at the app. That possibility is our whole upside. You pay nothing, we pay nothing, and nobody signs anything.

Common questions

Do we need an account or a contract?

Not for the product-page code — the generator on this page is the whole onboarding. The in-box cards carry a free month, so those codes are issued per shop and start with an email. If you want anything in writing, you will get a plain-language one-pager.

What do you learn about our customers?

The checker asks about the spot, not the person. There is no sign-up, and this site carries no ads and no third-party trackers. Details are in our privacy policy.

A plant we sell is missing from the search. Now what?

Email us the species and we will tell you honestly whether we can cover it. The general card works for any plant in the meantime.

Can we say we partnered with GrowSpot?

Yes, as long as it is accurate: you offer the free spot checker to your buyers. We are happy to link back to shops that use the kit well. Just do not imply we endorse specific plants or claim results we have not measured.

Can you make the cards for us?

Yes. Email your top sellers to [email protected] and we will send back a print-ready set, one card per plant, within a couple of days.
